Week 9

Knights – 17  Stags – 15

brk1   brk2

brk3   brk4

Knights lucky to come out of this game with a win.  Knights pretty much dominate the 1st half running & passing the ball nicely on offense & swarming, hard-hitting defense. 14-0 @ half. Then some mental mistakes in the 2nd half, along with some good play by the Stags, & they get back in it. For some reason the Knights D has a hard time with the swing pass, Ft. D was successfull running it on us & the Stags got positive yds with it all night long.  Knights have the QB flushed out of the pocket 10+ yds behind the LOS, he gets away from the defender where there is not help & he runs it in for a TD. Dont know why the hands team was not in a a kickoff where it was obvious the Stags might try an onsides kick. They did & were able to cover it, get good field position & eventually score. Another crucial DOG call on the Knights when they had 4th & short. Same old story with not being able to get plays in & snapped on time.  Our shrine bowl punter just took to long to get a punt off & it was blocked for a safety. Stags were up by 1. Knights eventually get a nice drive & a FG to go ahead. Berkeley doesnt give up & goes on a nice drive late in the game, their receiver catches a pass, has possession & nothing but endzone, he took 1 step & just dropped the ball. Then on last play of the game Stags had the ball on our 15 & instead of spiking the ball & trying the FG, the QB tries to run & gets tackled inbounds. Stags had no timeouts left.
With 2 games against very good opponents left in regular seasons, Knights just have to stop with the mental mistakes if they want to make some noise in the playoffs.

Stratford: Maurice Harris 44 pass from Dexter Washington (Nick Kinney kick)
Stratford: G.J. Jordan 20 pass from Washington (Kinney kick)
Berkeley: Punt blocked out of end zone
Berkeley: Nick Orvin 20 run (Johnathan Hill kick)
Berkeley: Thomas Brittle 28 pass from Orvin (run fail)
Stratford: Kinney 20 FG

Week 8

girls

Knights – 49   Trojans – 13

Real nice win for the Knights offensively & defensively. Knights open up a bit on offense. Getting a TD running, passing & defensively with a 25 yd. INT return for a TD. 21-0 halftime score. Knights put up 14 more in in 2nd half before bringing in the 2nd string. QB Dexter Washington has a very good night, 9-96 rushing, 1 TD. & 13-18, 155 yds throwing, 1 TD. RB G.J. Jordan 16-73, 2 TD's. Week 7

Knights – 49 Bruins – 13

Another night of run, run, run for the Knights. It was effective against OW. Score was 10-0 @ halftime. Knights score again in the 2nd half. Killed themselves all night with penalties. 3rd shutout of the season. Knights playing conservative on offense once again. Old school pound the football. We'll see if it works in the playoffs. Never has before. Fans are starting to question playcalling. We have the talent to open up the offense & throw. Maybe coaches are waiting until its needed.

Stratford-Dexter Washington 14 run (Nick Kinney kick)
Stratford-Kinney 35 field goal
Stratford-G.J. Jordan 1 run (Kinney kick)

Week 6

Knights – 10 Patriots - 7

Ft. D came out playing inspired football. Defense struggle in the 1st half. Knights kick a 40 yd. FG right before halftime. 3-0 @ half. Knights fumble inside their own 20 to give Ft. D good field position on their 1st possession of the 2nd half. Ft. D subsequently scores. Both teams struggle more offensively. Knights move the ball down the field & score with under 2 min. left in game.

Week 5

Knights – 0 Wave - 21

Knights take opening kickoff & drive 70 yds. Then settle for no points on a block FG. That pretty much set the tone for the game as far as the Knights special teams. A dropped fair catch, blocked punt that the Wave recovered inside the 20, scoring on both.. Throw in a dropped TD pass another dropped with receiver open. Scoring drives inside the red zone twice that resulted in no points. & an interception & you have the formula for a loss. Defense played well all knight, holding the Wave's high powered offense to just over 200 total yds, just out on the field too long. Offense & special teams gave them no help.

Week 4

Knights – 28 Dolphins – 7

I didn’t go to the game. All I know it Knights were 14-7 @ half. Final 28-7. Jordan 168 yds. Rushing.

Week 3

Knights – 38 Cougars - 14

Knights start out sluggish, as does CC. No score @ end of 1st qtr. Both teams get things going in the 2nd qtr. With Knights scoring about halfway through 2nd qtr. Cougars burn Knights on an 87 yd. pass play for TD. Score @ half 20-7. Knights take over after halftime & completely dominate as CC defense starts to get tired. Knights get burned again on another long pass play for a 77 yd. TD. Overall, Knights look very good in all 3 phases of the game.

S - John Weaver 10 pass from Dexter Washington (Nick Kenney kick)
S - Kent Akins 14 run (Kenney kick)
CC - Nick Adams 87 pass from Zach Singleton (Gregg Joye kick)
S - Akins 17 pass from Washington (kick blocked)
S - Akins 7 run (Kenney kick)
CC - Singleton 77 pass to Adams (Joye kick)
S - Washington 14 pass to Asheton Jordan (Washington run)
S - Kenney 35 field goal

Week 2

 GJ

Knights – 26 Gamecocks – 0

Knights dominate in every phase of the game. Special team play exceptional. Punter pins Sumter deep in their own territory time after time. Defensive line pressuring all game long. Offensive line opening big holes. Just an all around great game by the Knights.

Stratford: G.J. Jordan 12 run (Nick Kinney kick)
Stratford: Intentional grounding in end zone
Stratford: Jamar Fyall 45 pass from Dexter Washington (Kinney kick)
Stratford: Kinney 28 FG
Stratford: Andrew Wade 30 run (Kinney kick)

Week 1
Knights -55 Wildcats - 0

WA turns the ball over on their 1st 6 possessions. Knights capitalize on all of them. 21-0 @ end of 1st qtr. 48-0 @ halftime. Knights dominant in every aspect of the game. Good 1st outing for the Knights. Should be much better competition next vs Sumter.
